Launch!

7/25 Launch NRC

Yesterday's launch saw the club reach a new high point in NRC flying. Three rocketeers flew in competition, launching some 17 NRC flights across all 6 events of the NRC.

Morning conditions with gentle air were best, while the afternoon breeze and gusts made boost glider flying, in particular, more challenging.

Want to get started in NRC flying? Give some of the simpler events a try:

1/4A PD - hint: 13mm body tube with a medium sized chute.

1/2A BG - hint: 2 second delay, any proven design

My thanks to all those who helped with timing and altimeter reading. Thanks also to RSO's who kept the NRC flight cards organized and LCO's who called out flights and checked on timer readiness.
