Launch!

This post will have information on the next upcoming launch.

The weather has taken a turn for the worse for the launch this weekend. Saturday looks like a washout and Sunday only has a potential window mid- to late-afternoon. We will most likely be launching on Sunday the 6Th.

We will be at one field or the other in Acton (School Street Field or Weatherbee Conservation Area) by 11AM. The wind is predicted to be blowing directly toward the tree line at the School Street field so Weatherbee may be our better choice. They are directly across Route 2 from each other so you'll be able to see us at one or the other.

I have been watching the forecast and checking the Windy app and it’s following right along with my weather channel app. It’s going to be windy on Saturday 10-20 MPH and not in our fabir. That’s on the surface. I saw that there’s a chance of postponing til the 26th. The extended forecast looks to be in our favor then. 

I’m going to wait for Kenn’s go/no-go for this Saturday before I start doing any final prepping.

The previously forecasted showers look to be out of the picture, but the wind will be strong with gusts well over our allowable limit. I'll be getting trained up on changing the posts on the homepage tonight, but I'm calling a postponement of the launch until next weekend.
